Thomas C. Iutzwig
Chief Executive Officer

Thomas Iutzwig, Chief Executive Officer of the Verity Group, is a dynamic, results-driven leader in eDiscovery and forensics, private investigation and business administration. An innovator with more than 20 years in the industry, Thomas has started and sold several successful businesses in addition to the one he commands today. Prior to merging with Verity Group, Thomas was Founder and President of 24 Seven Discovere, a foremost e-Discovery service provider. With his strong technical background, he has a remarkable track record in intelligence collection, comprehensive legal and corporate forensics and can manage all aspects of e-Discovery and forensic service lines and projects. He created an exceptional software program, eDatavault, that is utilized in his company today.

Recently, Thomas Iutzwig spent time in Iraq as a Senior Tactical Combat Forensic Analyst in a high-volume counter intelligence unit working to capture and identify electronic media types. He performed as a group leader in establishing and executing chain of custody and records management procedures for captured material. He is a licensed PI and is also entrusted with a current DOD security secret clearance level.

Jeffrey J. Witt
Managing Director

Jeff is a passionate management and sales veteran with 20 years of industry experience.  Jeff joined Verity Group in 2001 where he focusses on strategic accounts to identify and implement data solutions which ensure continuous improvement throughout the legal lifecycle. Jeff consults with clients on topics related to Information Governance, legal hold, ESI collection & processing, database hosting and attorney review. He has earned the respect and privilege to work with fortune 500 companies and many of our nation’s strategic law firms. Jeff has supported and will continue to be a significant part of partner negotiations, staff leadership and motivation, needs assessment and process improvement.

Peter E. Smith, Esq.
Director of Managed Review

After fifteen years as a litigator in New York and Illinois, Peter entered the world of e-discovery where he worked for many years on large reviews for major law firms. He then began supervising large review teams in a variety of matters. At Verity Group, as Director, Peter organizes, trains and manages teams of vetted attorneys, works with Verity’s highly skilled IT experts to cull data and with clients to devise best practices and strategies to create the most efficient work flow to meet all client’s needs and deadlines.
